Cinnamon Dough Recipe (1) Ingredients: 2 cups flour 1 cup salt 5 tsp. cinnamon 3/4 to 1 cup water
Instructions: · Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. · Stir in water gradually to make dough. Adjust water and flour if dough crumbles or is too sticky. · Knead for 5-10 minutes until smooth. And chill for 30 minutes. · Roll chilled dough to desired thickness - from ¼ - ½" thick. (Thickness determines baking time.) · Use any cookie cutter shapes you like. (Animals, gingerbread people, wreaths, diamonds, circles, Santa, sleighs, etc.) · Use a drinking straw to make a hole so you can hang the ornament. · Bake at 325 degrees for 1½ hours or until dry; time varies with thickness (check after: 45 minutes to an hour). · Cool completely before decorating. · Paint with acrylic paints and glue on google eyes, buttons, ribbons, hats and scarves or any fun accessory your imagination comes up with. · Preserve with a coating of clear acrylic varnish when everything is dry |
